Notes
Of the Sixtine Ceiling period but not to be identified with any existing head there. Except for arrangement of hair and shape of cranium very close to profile of Libyan Sibyl. Steinmann (II, pp. 602 and 653), followed by Venturi, believes it may have been intended for the sleeping woman in the Ozias group (Venturi, Michelangelo, 136) not impossible providing one allows for change of sex, character and expression.
